Why won't Yahoo mark unread?
The quick and easy solution to the problem of e-mails that are read but still appears to be unread consists in modifying a parameter. Here's how:
Log into your Yahoo! email account;
In the upper right corner of the inbox, select the Settings gear icon;
At the bottom of the Settings pane, select More Settings;
In the left pane, select View emails;
Select one from the options in the Mark Reading Interval section:
• At once
• After 2 seconds
• After 5 seconds
If you click Never, you will see the messages marked as unread even though they have already been read.
Go back to the inbox.
How to mark an unread message in Yahoo! Mail
There are two ways to help you manually mark read messages as unread:
With the right button, click on the message to mark as unread and in the menu which appears, select Mark as unread;
After checking the box next to the message, select More from the toolbar at the top of the inbox. Select Mark as unread;
In the upper left corner of the message window, mark several messages as unread at once by selecting the Select message drop-down list. Choose All, and then use either method to mark emails as unread;
Either method can also be used to mark an unread message as read.
