You can create and use multiple email signatures in Outlook for Mac, and you can choose in Outlook the default email signature that you want to use for each account you configure.
Create an electronic signature in Outlook for Mac
It's simple to set up a signature and set up multiple accounts in Outlook for Mac and for some email accounts, you can set special defaults. Follow these steps:
o Select Outlook, then Preferences. The Outlook Preferences window opens;
o Select Signatures. The Signatures dialog opens;
o Select + under the list of signatures. A new signature line appears in the list of signature names;
o Enter a name for the new signature and type the desired text of your signature under Signature;
o Select the options you want to use in the Choose default signature section. In case you want to use this signature for all new messages that you create for example, select the signature time in the New messages list;
o Close the dialog when you are finished.
Rename an electronic signature
To give your new signature a name, follow this:
o In the list of signatures, select the name of the signature to modify. Once you see that the signature name cannot be changed, make a new selection of that one. You must make sure that the name of the signature is selected and not a space next to it;
o Type a new name for the signature;
o Press Enter.
Set the default signature in Outlook for Mac
These are the steps that will allow you to choose which default signature will be inserted in new messages and replies created in Outlook for Mac:
o Select Outlook, then Preferences;
o Select Signatures;
o For each email account that you want to modify the default signatures:
• Select the desired account under Account in the Choose default signature section.
• Choose the signature you want to insert in new emails under New messages.
• Choose the signature that you want to use automatically in the responses and when you transmit under Responses / Transmit.
• Choose None for no default signature, if you do not want a signature on the responses. You can always insert one manually when you write a message.
o Close the Signature Preferences window.
Choose default signatures in Outlook for Mac 2011
Follow these steps if you want your new signature to be the default in new messages in Outlook for Mac 2011:
o Select Default signatures;
o Select the new signature under Default signature for all the desired accounts;
o Select OK.
Insert a signature in an email in Outlook for Mac
These steps allow you to use a signature that you have configured in a message or modify the signature used in Outlook for Mac:
o Select the Message tab in the message title bar;
o Click Signature and select the signature you wish to insert. Instead of the message toolbar, select Draft, then Signatures from the menu, then choose the desired signature.
