Add a recipient to a message in Windows Live Hotmail via the Bcc field to send a message to various recipients confidentially.
To address a message in Windows Live Hotmail you need the To: field. The question is then what can you do once you want to avoid a long list of email addresses in this field or have to copy someone without their address being visible to other recipients?
Bcc (invisible carbon copy) is a response to these needs. With the Bcc field, when sending a letter to several recipients, They will receive a correct copy but their addresses will already be deleted before the delivery of the message (to all recipients). It's easy to add recipients to the Bcc field in Windows Live Hotmail, but it doesn't expose the Bcc field right away.
Add recipient: a recipient to a message in Windows Live Hotmail
These are the instructions that allow you to add recipients to the Bcc field in Windows Live Hotmail when composing a message:
• Click on Show Cc & Bcc (just above the To line: and on the right);
• Enter the e-mail address of the desired recipient in the Bcc: field or use the Bcc: button to select people from your contacts.
o once you add multiple recipients, separate them with semicolons (for example, "email@example.com; firstname.lastname@example.org).
With Bcc, you are also able in Windows Live Hotmail to send an email to undisclosed recipients.
Windows Live Hotmail is not exempt from using the Bcc field. With its important confidentiality function when sending a message to several recipients, each recipient will receive the message but will not see the email addresses of the other recipients.
