Create email groups instead of typing multiple email addresses and sending a single group email in Gmail.
Sending messages to a group is very easy when you have mail groups set up in Gmail. With groups, you can send an e-mail to several contacts without entering each e-mail address. Type a word in a Gmail message instead to indicate all the addresses capable of receiving the message in Gmail.
How to send a group email in Gmail
You can create groups such as, for example, the group of friends, colleagues, family, work, ... but regardless of the group, you can send a single email to all members of the group at time. It's like sending an email to someone. The sending procedure is as follows:
Open Gmail and select Compose. If the side menu is reduced, select the + sign;
Enter the name of the group in the To field. When you type the name, Gmail suggests possible recipients so that you can select the group from the list of suggestions. N.B: Enter the name of the group in the Cc or Bcc fields to send it a carbon copy or an invisible carbon copy of the e-mail in case you do not want the group to be the main recipient;
When you select the group, Gmail adds all the group's email addresses automatically.
How to choose which contacts to send by email from the group
Enter the group in the message so that all the names appear there, then delete a person from the list by selecting the small X next to their name or email address, in case you that certain members of the group cannot receive the email. This does not mean that the contact (s) is (are) deleted (s) from the group or from Google Contacts, he (s) cannot (can) only receive this specific email.
If you want to remove many addresses from the group, another more suitable option is to select the recipients to be included in the group. The procedure is as follows:
In a new message window, select To, Cc or Bcc to open the Select Contacts screen;
Select the wrong arrow drop-down list My contacts and choose the name of the group;
In the group's contact list, check the box next to the people you want to include in the email and uncheck the box next to the people you want to exclude from the email;
Select Insert to import these e-mail addresses into the field you chose in step 1.
N.B: Drag the contact's name or e-mail address to move a contact from one field to another without retyping these addresses. This is the quickest way to move a contact from the To field to the Cc field.
